3 TIPS TO BETTER MANAGE YOUR TIME AND LESS STRESS
Do you feel like like you are drowning in a sea of NO TIME? What would you do if you had more time on your hands? ...... Would you spend more time on self-care, spend more time with family and friends, or possibly clean out that closet that is overflowing with clothes from 5 years ago, or maybe just relax and enjoy nature? ...... I think many of us fixate on time way too much. I mean... What if.... we didn't worry about having to get everything done in a single day? Would it really be that disastrous? ...... Yes, I get that you may have certain deadlines to get a report or project done, and then there are the kids.... Little Billy has a science project that has to be completed by tomorrow, or Mary Sue has to be at dance recital by 4pm. Oh, and what about supper and picking up groceries for a neighbor or friend, and what about the Dr, dentist and eye Dr appointments? PHEW, that's a lot to get done in such a small window of time, Isn't it? ...... What if I told you.... I too have struggled with trying to get everything done in one day and it felt so overwhelming. My mind was constantly focusing on getting this done so I could get the next thing done, and the next, and the next.... On and on the vicious cycle would go. Till I nearly drove myself CRAZY! And never finding time for SELF-CARE. ...... Here are 3 things I've implemented to have more time and LESS STRESS.
1. SET TIMERS I know... your thinking how will that solve my struggle, right? Well, when you set timers. You're crating a pattern of self discipline. When we know we only have 15 minutes to complete a single task. We tend to stay more focused on that one task and are more likely to complete what we start instead of bouncing from one thing to another.
2. MAKE A PRIORITY LIST What is the most important thing you need to get done? Put that thing at the TOP of the list and go from there.
3. CUT YOURSELF A BREAK So what if you don't get everything on your list done. STOP beating yourself up over it. I know... easier said then done, right? ...... I get it! I've said these very words myself but ya know what? I've found that I was getting more done with just doing these 3 SIMPLE things and I was noticing. I had more time to do ME.
